Colt Model 1900 .38 ACP - Serial Number 3422, Commercial, Sight Safety

Model 1900 Sight Safety Altered Serial Number 3422 - This pistol is a middle variation of the Model 1900 with front plunge milled serrations, high polish blue, high spur hammer and factory sight safety. Gun was one of a shipment of three to E.L. Wilson Hardware Company in Beaumont, Texas on November 15, 1901.  This pistol is the highest serial number encountered to date for an original sight safety configured Model 1900.

Right side slide inscription - "AUTOMATIC COLT" over "CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS"

Browning's Patent - slide markings, serial number 3422 on left side of frame, above trigger.

Factory Sight Safety - original sight safety is still present on this Model 1900.

Slide is numbered 3422 and matches the serial number on the frame.

Early full nickel magazine marked "PAT'D SEPT.9.1884"
